GEAR FIELD GUIDE
Durability, function, weight, comfort and value matter more than marketing claims.
A useful gear review should answer one question: does this item earn a place in the field? Backcountry Pursuit reviews are organized around real use rather than a list of manufacturer specifications.
We focus on durability, practical function, comfort, weight, ease of use, repairability and value.
Good gear is not automatically good for everyone. Reviews should explain who benefits most—and who should choose something else.
Some future product links may earn Backcountry Pursuit a commission at no additional cost to the buyer. That does not change the standard: a product should be recommended because it solves a real problem.
